Perfect lives, endless success, flawless bodies... And we find ourselves thinking: ‘Why am I not like that? What’s missing from me?’

But here’s the truth: what we see on social media is only a small part of the reality. It’s a filter, a curated version, never the whole picture.

Sometimes, stopping and taking a step back is the only way to reconnect with ourselves. To remind us that our path is unique. And that’s perfectly fine.

💄 Lipstick Diaries: Honey Infusion Edition 💋

This week, I’m using the Honey Infusion lip oil @gisou to take care of my lips after removing some dry skin 😥. It has a lightweight and hydrating texture, perfect for keeping my lips soft. However, I have to say that many find its scent and taste a bit unpleasant. I agree, the smell isn’t the best, but I can still use it. 😅

As for the repurchase factor... I’ll probably be looking for a different one in the future. 🫢 I have other options on my list to try!

What about you? Do you have a favorite lip oil you would recommend? 💧💄

Questa settimana sto usando il lip oil Honey Infusion @gisou per prendermi cura delle labbra dopo aver rimosso le pellicine 😥. Ha una texture leggera e idratante, perfetta per mantenere le labbra morbide. Devo dire, però, che molti trovano il suo profumo e gusto poco piacevoli. Anche per me l’odore non è dei migliori, ma riesco comunque a usarlo. 😅

Today, I shared a story saying it’s my daughter’s birthday, and that it’s a celebration for me too because I’m raising her on my own. I said I’m the strongest woman I know. It felt powerful to say, but also surprisingly difficult. There was a part of me that felt almost embarrassed, as if acknowledging my own strength was something to be ashamed of.

We live in a world that often teaches us to be modest, to downplay our achievements, as if being proud of ourselves is wrong. But why? Why should I feel ashamed to admit that I’m strong, that I’ve faced challenges and made sacrifices, and that I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished?

There’s a voice inside, in many of us, that tells us not to appear too confident, too proud, too self-assured. But that voice doesn’t always serve us well.

Recognizing our own strength isn’t arrogance; it’s self-awareness. It’s a way of honoring ourselves and all we’ve overcome. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that we are strong, especially when we’ve done it on our own, without shortcuts.

Today, I’m learning that there is no shame in being proud of who we are. Saying I’m the strongest woman I know isn’t empty praise, it’s an acknowledgment of my journey, my efforts, and my dedication. And I deserve to say it out loud, without shame or fear
